My nexus one won't play m4v files that I have on my website for mobile devices like iPhones and Android devices. My replaced HTC Legend played them with no problems.

Do I need to install something on my N1 to play them? Did HTC do something to their sense android phones?

I asked the same question about a movie I ripped using handbrake using settings suggested in several places including here. Mine wouldn't play either. I never did get an answer.

Using Handbrake, I converted mine to mp4 format and it plays just fine.

I use QuickTime Pro and have not had any problems until now.
I dont understand why my HTC desire had no problems with the same mp4 videos.

Ok, and? I converted mine to mp4 and they don't play. Is there a specific folder, encoding, voodoo that one has to do to get these to play because they aren't playing.

Why do the very same m4v videos play when I copy them on to the SD card?

It must be a browser issue. ..
