There isn't a facebook htc app, the one on the market is the same app. If you install the market one, it will just apply the latest update to the one on your phone

There are 2 I think but only one is an actual app. They both come pre-installed on the phone. One is called Facebook for HTC sense, which I presume does all the facebook photos and status integration with the OS. The other is just called Facebook, which is an actual app, I think this is the same as the one you get on a stock Android device.

I believe it's Facebook for HTC Sense when you go through Friend Stream and Facebook for Android when you use the stand alone app.

What exactly are you wanting to download lol? Yep there are 2 "facebooks", one is the actual app (comes pre-installed, so downloading the market version will update this app), then there is the service that integrates into sense. This is part of sense and you cannot download this.

So what exactly are you wanting to download and why? Knowing will make it easier to answer your question :p

Without meaning to complicate things further, there's also the FacebookTouch thing as well - but that's more of a touch screen alternative to the Facebook Mobile and full Facebook site, isn't it?

    Good point! :D

Although it still pops up on the Market and is actually described as an app - which I found quite strange! :D

Thats just someone who created an app that is simply a browser that only lets you go to the facebook touch page. Just a really useless app.
