Tap "home Icon" Message says: To set home location, pin a point on map, then select 'set as home.'
How to "pin a point on map?"
Did Email Dev's website and am waiting for an answer.

i just downloaded it to check it out. basically on the map screen tap your position(if you are at your house) and a window should pop up....tap the window and you should get another screen with an option to set as home.

I had tried the tap screen before without any luck. Made me think I had an "untapable" screen. Then I zoomed in almost as close to my location as I could and tried again. This time it worked and I was able to set the home location. So that fixed my problem.

I found that I had to tap and hold for a split second and then release to pin the location.

SOLVED solution? It appears you can only "set home" and "locations" on ROADS. Just because it can lock on to your non-road position, if the position isn't on a road, it wont do anything. The best you can do, is pick an area on a road, closest to the location you wish to store, even though your position isn't currently on the road. Once the message pops up on the road, scroll down through the menu options until you find what your looking for, such as "set home position".

I found this post while looking for how to do this myself and didn't find the previous posts to actual solve the issue. After messing around, this appears to be the solution.

Here is an old user guide for Navfree on iPhone.
It was actually pretty close to the Android version when I first looked at it, but things have changed since then

There are also Navfree (Android) forums on google groups!forum/android-app!categories/android-app/tech-support-android!categories/android-app/usa-betas
