New to the 3G phone. Confused on a lot! My biggest challege (today) is how do I save or lock a text message. My friend sends me funny sounds/ring tones and I don't want to loose them. I've asked several people in my office and we are all at a loss. Any help is appreciated!!

    Welcome to the Android Forums!

To save text messages you might be able to email it to yourself (never tried this) or consider looking for an app in the market which allows you to save SMS messages.

The following is an example of an app to backup SMS messages to Gmail. It should be available in the market:

Handcent allows you to save ringtones and animations via their messaging app, just be sure you have the room for it - also don't forget to turn off your native messaging apps notifications while using it - otherwise you get 2 notification icons for 1 message.
