need help changing skins on HTC EVO

I have an Evo and can't change my clock skin or any other skin. I've bought and downloaded the Weather & Toggle Widget, downloaded/installed some clock skins from the android market (those that actually state you need the W&T widge), selected those skins from the W&T widget to install, yet nothing changes with my actual clock. the skins won't actually change. i've tried removing and redownloading the skins but that doesn't work. restarted phone, nope. please help. something must be wrong because it shouldn't be any harder than this just to change how my clock looks.

nevermind guys. i got it. thanks for all your help. but seriously, i consider myself as tech-minded as the average Joe but this procedure took several steps to actually get the new clock skin to work and there are no instructions for it anywhere.
