Root Need help getting a buddy rooted

Hey guys I am an HTC hero root user, and I was planning on helping my buddy root his Samsung Moment. I don't see any stickies on rooting guides, so I was wondering if someone could respond with a link to a good rooting guide. He just had Sprint update his Moment from 1.5 to 2.1 a couple of days ago, if that information helps. Also, are there any stable froyo roms out for the Moment? Thanks for any help guys.

Both the videos (a bit further down) if he has 2.1 all you need video 1 for is to get the files you will need. then follow video 2.
As far as froyo I really can't help you there, I have used meatcurtains from the kitchen as well as Amstel 2.0 from SDX

There aren't any full froyo roms out yet, but they are a couple that do contain some elements of froyo. Once the source for the Intercept 2.2 is release we will be one step closer to full froyo on the moment.
