Need help troubleshooting Wifi connection problem on MT3G

I'm having an issue with data not working over Wifi. My phone connects to the network fine but certain apps stop working once the Wifi is connected, including Google Voice app, Android Market and the Browser (default that came with the phone).

The weird thing is *some* apps work. I can message using the default messaging, for example, even when GV is dead. Even weirder, *sometimes* there's no problem.

Google Voice just stops working with no error message, the Market gives me a network error and says try again and the browser simply says it can't connect. Any suggestions about how to get around this?

Make sure your router is connected...sometimes my ethernet cable falls out the back of my modem, therefore making the router not work but my phone shows me connected. When this happens nothing works for me, i have to either plug the cable back in the modem or switch to 3g. Just a possible solution.

It's not a problem with the router. We have four computers connected to the internet on the same wireless network with no problem. I think it's an issue with the phone because it's happening on the home and work wireless networks.
