I flashed Android Revolution HD 51.0 to my unlocked, rooted, s-on HTC One 4.4.2 and everything seems to be working except for the fact that I seem to have no Sprint service.

check in settings/mobile networks and make sure the phone is set to cdma/lte

the rom you have flashed has sprint support, correct? did you download the correct file and check its md5?

did you wipe data/factory reset prior to installing the rom?

failing all that,do you have a good backup you can restore and verify the proper operation of dialer/data/phone?

I flashed the Android Revolution HD 51.0. All seemed well except I had no Sprint service. I wiped the phone and tried to sideload a stock ROM ( Guru_Reset_M7_Sprint_3.04.651.2) back on, that seemed to go well until the reboot. I get the white HTC screen, then the Sprint screen, then 4.4.2 lock screen. When I unlock (swipe) it goes back to white HTC boot screen.

I did the same steps you gave me the last time I bricked my phone (last week). I had a backup but it's now gone. I'm going to Mark & Paste some info for you, Scotty85

Your link is not clickable... Is there a Sprint specific download?

Apparently not...looks like (despite title) it does NOT include Sprint. So what now?

Did you check your mobile network settings? What recovery are you using? You verified the md5 of your downloads, correct?

I didn't check the md5 nor the mobile network setting. I just now got stock rom working...still no mobile service though. I did have twrp

    scotty85 Guides Guide

    A couple of things:
-first and foremost, you need to install an md5 checker on your pc and start verifying the integrity of your downloads. Flashing an incomplete download.can cause all sorts of issues and easily explain your splash hangs
-its difficult to help you when you don't answer all the questions that we ask. A lot of times the next bit of advise will rely on the answers, and its difficult when we don't know if you've tried things and failed,or just not bothered to try. Remember, the more details the better. Don't be afraid to let us know things that you might think are insignificant.

Having said that, what do you mean "i did have twrp" ? Is it gone?

Im also curious to why your backup has disapeared. The common reasons would be:
1)you inadvertently chose to wipe internal storage in preparation for your rom flash
2)its there, you're just not sure how to find it.

Things that you add to your "sdcard" via plugging in to the pc will be found in data/media/0 while your recovery is likely still storing its backups in data/media so you may have to navigate forward to /0 or back to data/media ,depending on what you're looking for.

Now let's make sure were on the same page: you have no signal at all correct? Or you have a phone signal, but no data?

For the former, you need to double check your settings in mobile networks and make sure that your set for cdma/lte. If that checks out, does sprint utilize a sim card for LTE devices? If so you may simply have a bad sim.

I may have it all working. Was missing the radios for 4.4.2, I think. I'm sorry for my lack of details but I don't always know the answers due to my lack of experience. Most of what I do know, attempted, failed, succeeded because of your instructions in my first "I f'd up" post. Now with this one, I should be able to conquer the Android universe.

To be honest, I did so much sh!t I'm not sure what to tell you I did. But Ima learnin'!

I'm going to try to run through Sprint's automated device activator since I jumped service to my Evo 4G. I can't do the Profile or PRL updates w/o Sprint's support. And hell...I didn't know what a 'Radio' was. lol

Ahhh you had activated a different phone?? That is certainly a good reason for this one to not have service. You'll need to go through whatever process sprint has to reactivate it.

Activations and prl updates are usually handled on a CDMA device by dialing something(for example Verizon you dialed *228)

I switched service to my EVO LTE after bricking my ONE. I didnt investigate the ROM like I should have...it didn't support CDMA. I didnt know the difference between "radios" and a boombox you throw cardboard down next to to break dance on.

I'm a trial & error type learner... I blame it on my A.D.D. I bricked my HTC ONE twice in two weeks and with you all's help I was was able to fix it twice... while also rooting and flashing my EVO LTE at the same time. That was much easier. I assume because the One is so new (?), while my EVO was running 4.1.1 OS. So there was alot for it on the web.

I'm still tinkering with my One. I believe I have it partially rooted (can't install Busybox) or can't get S-Off. I've been been pretty loyal to HTC but this One (S-Off) is frustrating me.

Sprint is a CDMA company . now you didn't read the info I gave you about the s-on and s-off . but I give you a guide I went by that showed me the different radios but a GSM is a device that has a sims card and a CDMA is a device that don't need a sims card as your device has a micro 4glte card aka iccu card only control the 4glte. Now this sims slot makes it a dual sims which also is a unlocked gsm which will allow you to flash to a gsm to use micro gsm cards. CDMA require manual updates as a gsm device use the satellite to update and programming the device for the best way to the towers. Also the CDMA will need prl updates this can be done from dialing *228 from your device .

Also if you get tired of sprint its a Ril patch to change the device from CDMA to gsm . now with this gsm u can move around on at& t , T-Mobile or any gsm company . I just found out this device will work on target has a plan called bright spot . its through T-Mobile but its 50.00 plan is unlimited usage . once u rooted you can make the phone do anything . you can also use it as a baby monitor with other compatible monitors.

well, ive no idea how to advise you since ive no idea what state youre in,what youve done to get there,or what youve tried to do to repair it.

installing busy box is not something youll typically need to do if youve installed a superuser package(i recomend supersu)

so in a nutshell you need to:
1)restore to a working device. generally this will be by installing the most current reocvery and flashing a rooted rom
2)dial *228 to change your service back to the one from the LTE

if you can provide sufficient details we are happy to help.

My biggest issue right now is that I can't get adb to recognize my device. It says "list of devices attached" but no S/N. I have a working (rooted) phone (Bad Boyz ROM 4.4.2 deodexed) but the Mods that O.M.J. lists do not show up on my phone... though the ROM & Custom Kernel show to be installed. Do I need to flash their modified Firmware as well as just the ROM? I downloaded and installed ROM using my phone SD card via CWM.

Much thanks to you too. You've been tons of help so far.

What's the best way to give you better details? Screenshot my phone Info? I have Win7 x64, Sdk tools, minimum adb & fastboot installed in system, with Path variables set to that location.
