Hello, I am a new member of this site. I recently sold an android kindle fire rooted with Jelly Bean. My customer has received the item and is stating that she does not understand how to navigate it. She wrote: "how do i find a home page no nav bars." I wrote back: Could you give me details as to what you are having problems with? I know the user interface is different and will take some time to get used to on the new android version. I experienced this at first too but the main buttons are the home button which looks like a house and takes you to the main screen, the back button which takes you back from the page you just opened, and the windows button which is on the right hand side at the bottom where the other touch screen buttons are. The open windows button which looks like a sticky note or a group of squares shows you all of your open programs and it alows you to go back and forth and switch between programs and applications you opened. All of the buttons are touch screen. the kindle does not have physical buttons. The buttons are all located on the bottom of the screen. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Then she wrote: "There is no house have wifi fan batteru stregth bluetooth symbol and sound symbol. My IT guys couldn't figue out.a nook wanted the kindle because all my friends have themre it out. Now it is on touch screen brightness. Hav" and I don't know how to explain to her how to navigate this any better than I already did. The Kindle Fire has Twerp installed. I really had no problem learning how to navigate the Jelly Bean UI on the Kindle after I rooted it. I am baffled as to what she is having problems with and how to explain in a easy to understand way how to navigate the Kindle Jelly Bean Android because I no longer have it in front of me. She claims that she can not navigate the Kindle. I explained that the nav bar is touch screen. Could she possibly have booted into recovery mode? I sold this item in hopes someone who was familiar with it would buy it...now I can't find anyuthing on Google search that shows exactly how to navigate the Rooted Jelly Bean Kindle Fire...I explained and she said the IT people could not figure it out either. Could someone on here who has a rooted Jelly Bean Kindle Fire please give me a novice user friendly way of conveying to her exactly how to navigate this device so I can send this info to her? I would greatly appreciate it.
