Can someone post a link to where we can buy a NOTE 4 Rapid Car Charger? I've look all over and only see NON RAPID CHARGERS. I prefer the rapid charger because it's the coolest thing since sliced bread. Please assist with a bonafide link pls if you purchased one, verified it's rapid charging with the link that show the model number, etc so I don't have to look thru a ton of pages to locate it.

ps. sorry for the long request but im tired of looking for something and feeling like i'm just missing it.

I don't think there is one for the car. I'm just using this one I got from Amazon.

I'm also using a non data charging cable to charge the phone. The difference is, the non data ones trick the phone into thinking it's being charged by the cord vs being charge by usb like the rest. This allows it to have a stronger charge. This is beneficial when using your gps and charging.

Here's a disclaimer, I have yet to test this on my Note 4. The last time I used this was when I had the Galaxy Nexus and it was charging as I used gps.

i use something similar to this, works great no issues and has a sliding bracket that i was able to mount under my dash then slide the power strip in so it is hidden and not kicked by feet. Mine is a different brand that i purchase while traveling at a Loves Truck stop. At the time i need something to charge my laptop. this works awesome, use my standard plugs that came with my note4 and Tab 10

Here is one that has the adaptive fast charge:

Good luck!

This is the only one so far that supports fast charge. OP, I know you said it was a dealbreaker, but unless you're going to need that fast charge in your car often, you're going to be just as well off to get a 2A car charger like an Anker USB charger. It's about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a fast charger, and it will deliver almost as much current to the phone.

Hmmm. Time to use my business contacts at Monoprice to see if I can get one of these on the next shipment. I'll let you guys know how it goes if I get one! Also, does anyone know if I can buy a normal fast charger to plug in to a power strip? Been wanting to get one from work. I wouldn't normally need it, but if I was going to go to a concert or something after work it would be nice to have a full charge.

ON SOAPBOX: One of my pet peeves about online forums is ppl do not either read the original post or do not address the issue involved.

OFF SOAPBOX: Here is the latest updated in my bid to find a similar rapid charger. I order the charger for the NOTE 3 thinking it would be similar and provide a fast charger. NO IT DOES NOT WORK!. The Note 3 charger will only charge my NOTE 4 at regular slow speeds NOT AT FAST CHARGING SPEED!!.

ON SOAPBOX: As f this post im still looking for an aftermarket charger that will give me fast charging at the equivalent speed of the OEM Note 4 Charger. If you are going to post links to where I can get a fast charger, please only post a link after you yourself have verified it will work with the Note 4 by verifying it charges rapidly with your own Note 4.

WAVES BIG STICK: Folks are only trying to help, if you're not happy with the responses or think they're wondering too far off topic , no need to get on a soapbox. If they're too far off track, hit report and let one of us take a look. :)

What about Phevers suggestion?

Phever, have you verified that this charger will rapid charge the NOTE 4?

EL PRESIDENTE: Yes i understand ppl are just trying to help and for that part im grateful, it's just sometimes, a thread can get hijack or off topic, it's the down side of the net. I'm not interested in reporting ppl but thanks for the response.

If I'm not mistaken, I have used the fast charger from samsung with a car USB plug and the phone recognizes fast charging and charges just as fast as I've witnessed when plugged at home. Oh and all this is on my note 4 with the note 4 cord that comes with the phone.

P.S. recent long time apple to Samsung convert. I feel like neo on the matrix...always knew there was something more and now extracted haha

Hopefully, this helps. There appears to be 2 fast charging technologies being slung around, Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 and Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charge. The Galaxy Note 4 can handle both technologies. The Qualcomm site list a few car chargers at the bottom of this page (https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/quick-charge) letting you know that take advantage of their Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

Ones that are documented to work by a few individuals on various Android sites
I have read that the Verizon Quick Charge charger will charge the phone to near 50% in 30 minutes (http://www.verizonwireless.com/acce...th-fast-charge-technology-for-micro-usb/?null). Also, I read that the PureGear Extreme USB Car Charger works as well (http://www.pure-gear.com/shop-by-category/power/extreme-usb-car-charger.html).

Personally, I screwed up and ordered the wrong PureGear charger because I didn't know which one was the correct one until I found the Qualcomm page letting me know which one used the fast charge technology. I am going to try and exchange it for the PureGear Extreme USB Car Charger and hope it works.

Another path would be to bit the bullet and get an inverter. Verizon has one on sell right now for $30 (http://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/energizer-cup-inverter/).

Anyone who wants to test the charge speed should download battery monitor widget by 3c. It can be configured to show the mA flowing through the phone at any given time.

With screen off, and battery below 50%, I get 2900+ mA of current (3 amps) on the oem wall charger. One you turn on your screen to look at the widget, it seems to fall to a 1 amp charge within several seconds.
