I have two phones currently sharing one NET10 AT&T BYOP SIM card and wanted to share the APN settings, as they vary from one device to the next, even using the same SIM card.

    Setup 1: (Samsung Captivate Glide)

    Name: NET10
    APN: wap.tracfone
    Proxy: Not set
    Port: Not set
    User Name: Not set
    Password: Not set
    Server: Not set

    MMS Port: 80
    MCC: 310
    MNC: 410
    Authentication type: Not Set
    APN type: Internet+mms+supl

Setup 2: (Motorola Atrix 2) - Initial settings & instructions as provided by NET10 CSR at NET10 Forums:

From the home screen, press Menu
    Select "Settings"
    Select "Wireless and networks"
(make sure that "Flight Mode" is unchecked)
    Select "Mobile Networks"
(make sure that "Use packet data" is checked)
    Select "Access Point Names"
    Press Menu
    Select "New APN"
    The following fields appear:
    Name: Straight Talk (or NET10)
    APN: att.mvno
    Port: 80
User name: leave this field blank
    Password: leave this field blank
    Server: leave this field blank
    MMS proxy:
    MMS port: 80
    MCC: 310
    MNC: 410
    Authentication type: None
    APN type: Not Set
    Press Menu

I want to ask why my 4g icon wont show up on iphone i have net10 service any idea?

Are you using an AT&T SIM or a T-Mobile SIM...and if it's an AT&T SIM, did you have the 4G icon when you were on AT&T?

Have you run an actual speed test with Ookla or a similar program to see what it's reporting?

From what I've seen on the Net10 forums your phone may need to be can contact Net10 through their forums or via phone. You can also get a program like Network Reset from the Google Play store to be sure you're connecting to the best local towers.

Thanks lxm777, I been trying to set up my Motorola Atrix HD with a NET10 APN all weekend. Your recommended settings worked for me. My phone is not Unlocked and running on a Net10/AT&T SIM Card with no problems now. Glad I found this post.

Just swapped my SIM Card into my HTC Inspire which I had programmed according to Net10's recommended settings and never had a working Network connection. Used the above settings minus the part about protocols (The HTC doesn't have these settings in their APN menu) and once again success. Thanks again!

Srsly I just want to thank you so much. I've been on phone with net10 service for many hours past week trying to get data to work.

APN verified to tfdata, mmsc, mms mms port 80, that's it, they gave me nothing else. Data on my wifes sim would not work
(my sim in her phone data worked, her sim in my phone no data, was her account/sim something).

They had me do 2 new sims. Same thing. I was ready to give up, searching found this. your APN settings while they don't turn my bars blue like my phone that works, DATA FREAKING WORKS> APPS/mail/logging in. OMG I am so excited. TY again.

TO get my MMS to send (receving worked) I had to set MMS port to 80. Awesomeness.

Thank you so much, I'm planning to get the Samsung Captivate Glide ts weekend since switching carriers. I'm using my sister in law's Nokia Lumia 900 and I really detest phones without physical QWERTY keyboards.

The port in was cake. Getting my APN settings took me two days, though. I am still carrying around my iPad for data as I am capped at 1.5 gigs on Net10, as well as my Droid 4 when I can pick up a wifi signal.

Here are my working APN settings for the Nokia Lumia 900 in case anyone was wondering

    Internet APN

    Access Point Name - tfdata
    Proxy Address - <leave blank>
    Proxy Port - <leave blank>
    Username - <leave blank>
    Password - <leave blank>

MMS Access Point Name - tfdata
    Proxy Address -
    Proxy Port - 80
    Username - <leave blank>
    Password - <leave blank>
    MMSC Address -

These settings worked for me as of April 2nd, 2013.

Unfortunately calling Net10 support did nothing because they are very...hmm.. How do you put this nicely? Untrained? I feel as though searching online for settings works far better than their lousy customer care. If you can even reach them on the phone, that is...

However, as far as service goes, I suppose I am somewhat pleased thus far. I'm just floating around, trying out prepaid carriers until I find the best one.

I don't know he reason "why" the icon is not showing up, but you are aware that the "4G" is not really 4g, even if you had an AT&T contract, right? The 4G AT&T uses (not including their LTE network) is actually HSPA, which is honestly fast enough. I usually average 1.5-4 Down and like 1.5 up on my unlocked AT&T Galaxy S3. The cost of LTE is only somewhat fair on Sprint, and that is, if you can actually get it , as Sprint has been "slowly" building out their network. AT&T and Verizon's prices for LTE are way too high.

i used his idea after an ota update erased my net 10 apn settings on unlocked pantech flex. Worked perfectly! i get 4g , but no lte signal access. The hspa+ is fast enough and doesnot rapidly drain the battery. Use wi-fi for updates and web as often as possible, so i dont worry about cap problems.

Anyone know the right settings for a s3? I have an att s3 and went to doller general and got and sim kit. Didn't say att or T-Mobile on it, it just said net 10 bring your own phone starter kit. Which came with manuals on how to setup and came with micro sim and normal sim. Now data is not working. I been seeing everyone is saying att sim or T-Mobile sim. When I got this I assumed it would work for either. But if there's just a att sim that will work better then I want that. But do need to know the right setting for the s3 as data is not working.

i am going to guess, but i strongly suspect that it is a tmobile sim. Now that att is looking at starting its own mvno new service. That explains why it cut the web access amount on st or net10. they want us to switch over to their new prepaid brand. No lte on prepaid, though. Maybe T-Mobile will fight back as soon as they get their lte running in more markets.

Just got my wife the s3 and switched her to net10 sand have the same issues. I've spent plenty of time on the phone with net10 and everything works except her voicemail and picture messaging. It's a load of crap. I was wanting to do the same but if everything isn't gonna work right then what's the point. I'll stay with virgin mobile were I know everything works and I don't have piss with so many settings.
