New apps for Dialer and Contacts

Hi all,

I am using the OpenDesire ROM, without sense, but I hate the Android dialer to the core, so I was wondering if anyone knows any replacement apps which are better.

Ive tried Dialer1, but think it looks shoddy (even though it performs OK), but am looking for something nicer looking. Ive scoured this forum and google, but TBH I'm after a hidden gem of an app. Also, a good contacts app to go with it perhaps...


EDIT; Ive just installed touchpal smart dialer, and its kinda cool. Just wish there was more options available.

TAKEphONE. Thoughi had it on my Palm Treo, I've seen it in the android market. If it's anywhere near what it was on my palm, it should be close to what you want.

Been using TAKEphone since it was first released for android (also had it for all of my many palms) and its the only one for me. Smooth integration with contacts and all of the system.
