Help New droid x user

Hi all I'm new to the android world. Ive gone from a iphone to a blackberry storm (TERRIBLE PHONE!) now to the droid x. Ive had it for two days and love this thing. I downloaded weather and toggle widgets because i liked the way the droid incredible home screen looked. I cant get the widgets to appear when I hold down the screen to add them. Instead I just get a loading sign and it stays there. Is there more to this!?

I also wanted to know what other apps are worth it?

Beautiful Widgets. Mp3 music. Flash. Google Sky Map, Flickie Wallpapers, App Brain, Sedge Ringtones
Games: Angry Birds, Fruit Pirate (I like it better than Ninja), Moron Test, Alchemy..

Yup. Read my replies on there about the Storm. I liked the phone. did everything I wanted with little problems.
