New event appears as invited on Google calendar

When I enter a new calendar event on my Desire, once it has synced, the event on Google calendar appears as an "invited" event which requests responses. Also when Google calendar syncs with Outlook 2007 (via Google Calendar Sync) it is an "invited" event as well.

Does anyone know how to enter an event on Desire and have it as a normal event in Google calendar?

This has been asked on the Google Mobile Help Forum as well with no solutions yet.

I don't have a solution but I wanted to confirm that I noticed the same issue. Not a big thing but unnecessary.
