New firmware upgrade

I am having firmware version 2.1-update1 build no - 2.0.A.0.504. I am in India.

Today, while I am connecting my phone to PC companion, I have got a message of there is an update available for my phone.

could anyone tell me whether it is good to take that update? Also how to check what I am going to update?
