New iPhone means better mobile web sites for Droid?

One of my pet peeves has been that many mobile web sites seem to be optimized for the iPhone's low res screen, so that when viewed with a high res screen like the Droid, the font is tiny. And many mobile web sites have the font locked so you can't zoom in and the font settings aren't affected by any changes made in the browser's settings. MSNBC mobile is a favorite site of mine but recently they changed their default to display what looks like an iPhone optimized site complete with microscopic test. You can click to revert to their "basic mobile site" but it'll revert back at random times. I'm hoping that as more of the new gen Iphones get in more hands, web designers will follow and maybe we'll get some web sites that people over the age of 16 can read. :)
    Seem likely?

"mobile web sites" blow in general. I would take the full legit web site any day. I often us that browser string trick to tell the web site that my phone is not a phone, but a computer so I get the legit web site.
