Android Market adds 'Similar' tab to boost app discovery - FierceDeveloper

There's a new "Similar" Tab in the market today for 2.2 phones. Basically when you're in an app, it'll show you similar apps to boost the ease of finding new ones. If you're not seeing it on your DX yet, and pretty much any 2.2 phone. Go into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Find Market, Clear Cache, Clear Data and kill the app (force stop). Then when you load the market again it should prompt you with a new Agreement, and the Tab should be visible.

My apologies if this was posted elsewhere.

go to settings, applications, manage applications, all and select market then clear data and reopen it.
"it" being the market app. reopen the market app after you clear the data

I've tried the procedure about 5 times and still can't see the tab. Maybe they are deploying it at different times in different locations.

Strange. I thought when they staggered release they did so by region. I'm right over in Syracuse and just got it yesterday.

I've tried the procedure several more times with no success. I'm not sure what's going on. Market version 2.12.

You guys are clicking on an app first before expecting to see a 'related' tab, right :D

Correct. My buddy has an EVO and his has the update so I'm familiar with what to look for.

Who knows what the upcoming update might fix.

im not, im running the OTA update to 2.2 and Apex 1.0.2. Fab made the key point. You have to search for something first, then click on one of the results that interests you and you will see the new similar tab on the top right of the screen.
