With the release of the unlocked iPhone 5 on Verizon, I wonder if Verizon has realized with the tethering debacle that by selling a locked LTE capable phone they may also be forced by the FCC and their open access policy re: the 700MHz spectrum to unlock the phones? Perhaps Verizon is starting to bundle unlock codes in the updates and maybe that was a last minute decision? We know our phone has some GSM guts in it so perhaps this is what is happening? Anyone tried to put an AT&T or T-Mobile SIM in this phone just for fun? I had a deactivated T-Mobile SIM that I put in but I couldn't tell if the phone accepted it or not because it wasn't active.
