    Hi all,

I've had iPhones for 2 years and I want to try out Android again as I had an HTC Magic a year ago and it was definitely the ugly side of Android. I'm still getting an iPhone 4 (white) come the end of July, but I want to have both Android and iOS with me again.

I've been thinking of trading my iPhone 3GS for an HTC Hero or HTC Legend, as I've been playing with them in the stores and they seem to run really well for mid-range devices.

There are a few things I never bothered with before that I will have to learn now, though:

    1. How do I convert my entire iTunes library for use with Android without losing my tags and album art? Does DoubleTwist help with this at all?

    2. From an iOS user, are the apps still as terrible as they were back in the MyTouch 3G / 1.6 era? Because they were really awful then. Mind you I only use a few official apps, which I'm sure Android can offer...

    3. Do the headphones that come with the Hero or the Legend have controls that would allow me to change volume, play/skip/pause songs, and voice dial?

    4. Do you think it will be possible for someone to crack 3.0 onto the Hero eventually after it comes out... Hahaha...

    Thanks in advance, dudes! :)

No need to convert as long as there's no DRM. You just need a sync solution and many are discussed here.

No need to convert as long as they are DRM free tracks. Your album art and tags will copy when you sync with the phone. I personally just open itunes, select the tracks I want, and drag them over to the card. Just as easy as selecting tracks and dragging to the Ipod.

Android just passed 100,000 apps, with about 50,000 coming just in the past few months. So i'm sure you wont have a problem finding an app that you need. And I dont think they are awful at all. Think about the first few apps for the iphone, fart machines and all, those were awful.

I dont know if those phones come with them, but you can surely buy them separte for a few bucks.

Considering we dont even have 2.2 yet, I doubt 3.0 will come out any time soon. And since the hero is pretty much an old phone now, i highly doubt it.

    Awesome!! :D

Well, I'm not worried about finding an app that will do what I want, I'm sure I won't have trouble doing that, but finding good apps is another story... And, coming from iOS for the last 2 years, I can honestly tell you I never, ever see fart apps and I haven't since the App Store was launched.. The fart app myth is ridiculous.

OMG! There is no 2.2 yet for the Hero? Seriously?... Wow.. Well, I originally thought the Hero was really slow as the initial videos were really choppy, but I tried it out in the store today and wow, it totally shocked me. It has improved a lot since its release.
