I've been checking the android suport forums as I started playing with Android based devices over the past year. As I noted I'm a technologist, over 40 years in science and engineering with plenty of recent electronics work, data collection, motion control, power electronics. I've done the MS, Apple, OS-9 (Microware, not Apple) and Linux systems and have been looking for something that was more directed toward mobile communications.
Android seems to be the way to go. Started with a couple Koby Kyros (8125, 1126) tablets, which were fine for basing browsing and streaming video. Decided to step up to an Acer Iconia A500, running Android 3.2.1, soon to be 4.0.
This leaves at least one of the Kyros tablets open for hacking. Recently I read where someone has opened a Kyros 1024 and found storage was a std. SD card. This makes things interesting. Decided to joing the fun and the fray, so here I am.
