    Hello everyone,

After 10 years of Blackberry I made the switch to a Droid X six days ago.

So far I'd give the experience and the phone a solid 9. I love it. The forums are great as well.

I'm posting because twice in the last 6 days my phone has shut down and become completely unresponsive.

The first time was the first time I powered it off. When I attempted to power it on the phone would only show me the Motorola logo and do nothing else.

    A battery pull fixed it.

The second time it went dead was as I unhooked it from my computer USB...it's a PC and I "dismounted" the phone manually first...but then...nothing....

A battery pull fixed it again.

Sooooooo. That's a long way of asking: is two 'dead' experiences in 6 days leading to two battery pulls normal? Should I take it back while I can?

    Thanks all!

The USB situation I've had if I don't change it back to charge only on the phone before unplugging it. I'll usually let it do its thing with the memory card too.

You may have an app on there that is causing problems.

Thanks for the reply and the USB suggestion. I'll decouple the phone that way as well from now on.

I don't mind minor 'buggyness' - but given that I'm in the magic 30-day window I wanted to make sure I'm not putting up with stuff that's not typical for the phone/OS/use.

My phone rarely locks up, when it does it is usually something it can't recover from and just restarts itself. I haven't had that happen in awhile though :)

I have never had to pull the battery to get my phone to work. Only one buggy program caused my phone to force close. If your phone keeps acting up, I would return it.

It's not normal. Get it replaced while it's easy.
