    hi all,
got my phone yesterday and been playing with it since.
good bits-going on the net is quick, clear and very smoove
    customizing is very good
bad bits-would have thought it would come with a video player that could play any type of format
can't put apps onto mem card, thought the hole point of being able to put a large size mem card into the phone was so you could put all the extras onto the card.
this is the main let down for me,got some apps on the phone last night then the phone said it had run out memory.
i've seen that rooting can change this but don't fancy voiding my warranty.wonder if a future update would cover this.

its been rumoured fairly strongly that 2.2 will allow apps to be saved on the SD card i believe.

It's not a rumour! Yes, with the next update of android you will be able to store apps to your sdcard.

that good news, still can't understand when they designed the phone that they gave it such small memory knowing that they was'nt going to allow apps to be stored onto the mem card.

i would guess its a just progression thing, the number of must have apps is only going up as is the complexity of the apps.

so greater storage is needed now where it might not have been before.

(all speculation however as the desire is my first android phone!)

Its nothing to do with HTC, its the google android OS. Basically the reason we didn't already have it was because google were trying to find a secure way of installing apps to the sdcard whilst protecting the app developers from piracy.
