Newer HTC Phones - is the problem fixed?

I have an HTC Incredible, which I love except for the constant low application memory alert. I know this has been a problem with this phone, but I was wondering if the newer phones have the same issue.

I'm due for a new phone around the Holidays, and I'm trying to decide if I should stay with HTC or try something else.
