News widget issues

Anyone had any problems with the default news widget? I've subscribed to BBC, Engadget, and a couple of others. I've tried setting it so that I manually update the Widget, and when clicking on refresh, it refreshes but only takes 1 second, updates the time last refreshed, but no additional news appears. I've tried on hspda, 3g and wifi connections to no avail.

It worked fine when I first got the phone, but stopped working today.

Anyone had similar issues?

Any alternative news widget people could recommend I try?

yeah I've got the same problem, it also looks like it's continually updating, not good for your battery or data usage.

gReader is pretty good, but only comes with a widget if you pony up...

Mine doesnt even update at all, just saying updating. Been like that since 16th
