Help nexus 1 dock dissapointment

I have nexus 1 + dock. phone is running 2.1.

I don't think it's using the dock's bluetooth for phone calls. I can't hear
the phone when it's in the dock over the road noise. I've tested a number
of times and am pretty sure it's using the phone's speaker, not the bluetooth.

I've played with settings/dock/audio. It doesn't seem to do anything. It also doesn't seem to actually remember the setting, even though it has a checkbox for 'remember the setting'.

Anyone else?

You have me confused there. The dock has a bluetooth? Why not use the bluetooth on the phone instead?

The dock has bluetooth and speakers. The dock's speakers are much louder than the phone's. I know this because _the notification is really really loud_ when the phone is in the dock. It startles me when I get an email! But, it doesn't seem to get used for the phone. So basically, it seems to use the dock's speakers when I don't want it to, and not use them when I do want it to.

Are we talking about the car dock or the desktop cradle? I know there was some issue with Bluetooth in 2.1, but 2.2 seems to have corrected most of that. Is there a reason why you haven't gone FroYo? You should.

Sorry, my mistake. It is running 2.2. Talking about the car dock.
