Just got an OTA notice to download Android 2.2.1 on my N1, which is rooted running Enomther's 2.12.2 and AmonRA's 1.8.0.1 recovery. Pretty confused, not going to update yet until I know what's going on.

I just got that and am installing it. Stuck on that triangle at the moment... about 5 minutes now.

Only works with stock recovery. I'll have to wait for devs to update the ROM's.

I've installed it, at first glance, nothings different. Probably just to patch the one click root exploit.

Rusty - what WiFi fix? The one with the WiFi dying when the screen is off?

    Yes, so they tell me.

I can't confirm as it wasn't something that affected me originally, but a few folks on XDA Devs have mentioned it.

I am going to wait a week on this one, I haven't ever seen an OTA yet. I would like to know if T-Mobile will actually push it to my phone or not.

Had the OTA waiting for me this morning in ABQ. It took a looooooong time after the install for the phone to reboot.

Wow I guess Google want's to pound me over the head with Nexus goodness to ensure I never even think about leaving my N1 again!

Just installed 2.2.1 from Android Central and have to say it is another stellar update.

Not as big of changes as something like Froyo or Gingerbread but after having the update on my Nexus I notice the following 2 things:

    1. Nexus One is faster overall :)
    2. WiFi dropping while sleeping issue is fixed!!! :D:D:D

The WiFi issue was the last thing that kept the Nexus from being absolutely perfect and now Google fixes it 2 days after I come back.

It's really hard to accept Google, T-mobile, and HTC customer service as real. Most companies I've had in the past have always delayed updates or never fixed problems. With those 3 companies and their stellar customer service I have to say that this phone is the best I could hope for.

I've already flirted with a 4.3' screen and learned my lesson... I will ALWAYS use a Google developer phone from now on. Period.

(Heres a link if you guys want the 2.2.1 update now like I did http://androinica.com/2010/09/24/nexus-one-gets-updated-to-android-2-2-1-build-frg83/ )

Weird. It only took me less than a minute to reboot after the update.
