Most of the time my N1 isn't able to get a fix on my location, and I get the notorious "Your current location is temporarily unavailable". At the same time, my iPhone is able to get a fix immediately. For my N1, i have to be in the open sky for the gps to work. Is this a common problem with the N1?

The other thing is that the map doesn't rotate when I turn the phone (based on the compass orientation). Google Maps does this on iPhone, but not on N1, am i missing something here? I have enabled the Compass arrow under Google Maps -> Labs ...but that's just a useless arrow. Why doesn't the whole map move?

The arrow points the way you're facing, what's useless about that?

Get on the Market and download GPS Status, will give you a better idea of what's going on, GPS sat wise.
