One thing that has helped occupy my attention while work (if any) is being done to root the 2.1 leak has been the iPad.

I'm thinking about getting a MBP. Question is do I stick with the 13" MBP with a C2D or upgrade by $600 and get a 15" i5. Don't want outdated technology, but I don't want a $1700 laptop either.

    Colt McCoy finally got drafted.

Browns' philosophy: Draft a QB...keep him around a few years...let him go. Brady Quinn a few years ago, now McCoy.

Denver just loves QB trouble, don't they?

I'm sure they would love for Quinn to be their QB... Not their fault the kid couldn't handle the starting job.

    What:eek:no 2.1 talk! j/k

Ya, the draft has been fun to watch. I only like to pay attention to the first 3 rounds. Currently watching the Coyotes and Red Wings, I am not a hockey fan but it is exciting for us to be in the playoffs.

Chicago's just overwhelmed right now with sports.
Hawks and Bulls in the playoffs, Cubs and Sox sucking it up together, Z to the bullpen. So much going on and the papers are just not worth reading anymore because it's all crap.

On top of that, not having a pick until the third round for the Bears pissed some people off.

You can have Oprah. Looks like Twilight is now the magical force controlling women and girly-men these days.

I was glad to see my boys Koa Misi and Zane Beadles get drafted fairly early in the second round. :)

Well heres the thing, they traded away all their draft picks to get cutler and julius peppers. Personally i didn't think cutler was a good idea, but my wife is a broncos fan so i was cool with it. I'm a lions fan myself so i'm excited about suh, but i know they still won't win very many games this next year. The bears on the other hand are interesting, they could go either direction. I think they'll be better than last year but its hard to speculate. They've got alot of older players, alot of holes in their offense and defense. I don't think anyone in the draft will be a big difference maker this next year, and chicagos thinking about this year not the future, so they don't have time to train a bunch of draft picks anyhow. Imo if lovie smith doesn't get it done this next year he might be looking for a new job in the offseason, but then again i'm sorta shocked he's kept his job this long. Its funny how many people in this state were ready to buy superbowl tickets and book their hotel rooms and flights when they traded for cutler. Imo its going to be a couple years before he really pays off if ever. In denver he had weapons, in chicago he doesn't. In denver he had a running game to fall back on, in chicago he doesn't. I don't think mike shannahan got enough credit for what he did and i think josh mcdaniels got too much credit just 6 games into last season. Its a funny game, thats for sure. Its hard to speculate how they'll do until they play a few games into the season. But yeah the bulls are on their way out of the playoffs, the blackhawks will most likely lose in the next round if they make it that far and the cubs don't look too great at the moment. However the move to put zambrano into the bullpen was shear genius if you ask me. Z + Marmol = no more problems from the 7th inning on, or at least thats what i hope it turns into. And who cares about the white sux, i mean they come in a distant 5th in teams in chicago, right behind the major league soccer team the chicago fire, hehe.

Yes i live in illinois and have for the last 13 years. But i grew up in michigan so i follow the pistons, lions and redwings as well. I'm a cubs fan because i didn't start getting into baseball until i moved to illinois and was friends with a guy who was drafted by the oakland a's out of high school. He was a huge cubs fan and took me to my first cubs game. Ever since then baseball has taken over my life, hehe. I used to be a huge basketball fan, i lived and died by the pistons, then i got into football and did the same with the lions. But now i'm a cubs fan and the other 3 sports are secondary. Of course i will always be a pistons, lions and red wings fan, but my cubbies take center stage. The order of events in my life are as follows: Superbowl (of course), world series, nba finals, stanley cup, then baseball playoffs, basketball playoffs, football playoffs and finally hockey playoffs. I will always watch a playoff game vs a regular season game unless i don't have a stake in the playoff game and i do in the regular season game. IE: NBA Playoffs vs Cubs Baseball, due to the fact my pistons didn't even get close to the playoffs i'll watch a cubs game over any of the basketball games until it gets to the NBA finals, those i'll watch over a cubs game unless the cubs are playing a rival (brewers, cardinals, white sox), but if it came down to a game 5-7 nba finals game and 1 team is about to win it all then i'll watch that over any cubs game no matter if they are playing a rival or not. Its complicated being a fan of multiple sports in multiple states, as you can see ;)
