Im sure, my little blackberry pearl would play radar loops from intellicast and accuweather and this evo doesnt? I guess I have to download an app for that?

I use weather channel app. you can click on videos and it will show you just what would be shown on TV. (Local on the 8's etc.. or click on map and it shows you a map with radar movement.

Rainy Days app is the best one I've found, after another forum member suggested it. It has really good radar.

Yup... best one i have found for my Hero too. I was hoping the EVO would play radar from wunderground.com too, thats the BEST radar... in my opinion.

i paid for the weatherbug app just to get animated radar. the free version has ads and no animation (even though it did on the pre).

Have you guys tried justweather.com? It's only in a few cities but their radar is very good.
