One of my favorite devs, and creator of the Bedside app has come out with a hack app that turns those pesky LEDs off while the DROID is in the multimedia dock. Until Google fixes this issue, this work-around for us rooted owners is just the ticket.

Look for Softbuttons Lights Hack on the Market, or CLICK HERE from your DROID.

I take it that this does nothing for the charging light...

if it's in the dock you wouldn't see that tiny light.

God I hate that charging light... It's amazing how much light that puts out in a dark room.

If it's in a cradle, does that block it off?

Yes it does. That's why the comments about the charging LED confuse me. But ... whatever. :D

Sadly, with the Seidio extended battery on mine, a cradle will cost 50 bucks. Should be an option to turn it off...

heheh, well, i dont have a multimedia dock...but if it really does block that damn charging light then I guess I will be buying one. the peace it will bring to my household will be well worth the $30.

This app does NOT turn off the LED "charging light" that resides next to the micro usb port.

But . . . umm . . . wouldn't a Sharpie or some black fingernail polish save you guys a lot of grief?
    Just a dab'll do ya. ;)

Well, I "sorta" like it during the day. Always thought it was a cool thing for some uses. At night, it's way bright.

My tv is psycho, has bright ass green LED that comes on when the set is turned OFF, and it goes off when set is on... lights the whole room up. wtf... Cable box has a spotlight too... Now this phone with a bright white one.

Maybe a sharpie fix is in the making, Ugh... At least purple, haha...

One Ghetto Mod ... coming up!!! :D

There are soooo many benefits to LED technology. Unfortunately, the fact that they are so darn directional is a good thing sometimes, but also a bad thing. Just a silly little LED can seem like a laserbeam peering into your soul.
