I think my Dinc2 has met it's demise. There's a "No service" indicator on my phone and I checked with my service provider for assistance. There was an update for PRL so they updated my phone and it still didn't fix the problem. I also tried a SIM card to check the GSM ability and it's also not working. My phone is rooted and am using the AndyBone Stock ROM. I also took it apart and cleaned the metal contacts and still to no avail.

I'm considering either buying another Dinc2 either used or brand new. I really like this phone because of the GSM + CDMA capabilities.
    Any suggestions or recommendations?

Your battery cover is on right? I would try these things in order checking between each for signal.

    1. Dial *22890 and wait for it to finish, then dial *22891 and wait for it to finish. Reboot if it didn't already on it's own.
    2. restore a good NAND or do a fresh install of a known good ROM and repeat #1.
    3. Flash a new/latest radio and repeat #1.
    4. bend the contacts EVER SO GENTLY up on your back cover to ensure you have actual contact between them.

I'll try this when I get back home.
    Few questions:

    1. AndyBone Stock isn't a good ROM?
I've been using for a while and I like it because it allows for GSM capabilities.
    2. Do you have a link for the newest radio flash?
    3. I already bent the contacts gently up already but I'll give it a whirl again. Any other suggestions to improve contact? Aluminum foil?
Side note: I was able to get one to two bars every now and then.

    1. Andybonestock is a great rom. Just make sure your rom.zip is good. Check the MD5.
    2. Incredible Radios. There is supposedly a more current one around somewhere, but i have seen many many people happy with the last two on the list. CHECK YOUR MD5s!
    3. Careful if you have already bent the contacts. They're very fragile and a few people have broken them off. Is there any difference (when you are getting a bar or two) if you have the back on or off? If there is no difference, then your antenna isn't making contact and bending might be in order. If you put anything in between the contacts, you do risk bending them away from where they're supposed to be, but at this point that may not matter to you.

    Quick question what's an "MD5?"

Never mind. I think I found what you're talking about. :D

My USB port is broken again. I'm waiting for a new set to arrive in the mail. :(

If you can charge the battery, yuo can still do all the things I listed. Do you have an external charger, or does the phone still take a charge, or is the usb totally busted?

The USB port is totally busted so I have external batteries and have been using them for a while.

    UPDATE:
    1. I'm able to get a steady 1 bar and fluctuates to 3 bars at home.

    2. 3G data won't turn on. WiFi works.

    3. Phone calls and text are working.

    4. Signal/reception sucks.

Yeah I know but I was hoping not shell out cash for another one. And one antenna contact snapped off. Oh well.
