    Hi everyone,

I have unlocked, unbranded Desire and still my phone believes that there is no update available to download.

My software number is 1.19.832.2 and it seems like it's from Hong Kong.

I have tried to check software update with setting the date to end of this year and manually flashing the ROM with recovery option but no luck up to now.

How can I manage to get this update? Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Your phone is correct, the update isn't available for that software number yet. I'd suggest just waiting till it's released, it's a nice update but not anything overly dramatic.

i believe if your phone shows HTC quietly brilliant when it is switched on as well as there isn't any logo on the back on your phone then it is unbranded.

If your phone was unbranded it would have firmware version 1.15.405.4 or 1.21.405.2, this is probably the reason why there is no updates for your phone.

I started a thread about this yesterday. A mate of mine just got his brand new, unlocked and unbranded UK Desire and it also says that there's no updates available when he checks. He's running Android 2.1 and has system software 1.21.405.2, so he should be able to get Froyo. There's a thread on XDA Developers where a bunch of people are saying they can't get it either, leading to speculation that HTC have pulled the OTA update.

My mate had a similar issue.
I updated to 2.2 at home (WiFi)
Told my mate at work the next day and we checked for updates.(3G)
His phone was unlocked & Unbranded.
    But it found no update.
He came into work today and said he checked again last night at home (WiFi)
and it found the update straight away.

I have had a desire for two weeks, fireware 2.1update and software 1.21.405.2

I've tried manually searching for the update, setting the date forward and factory reseting the device and I still can't update. It keeps returning with, 'Your phone is up to date. There are no updates available for your phone.'
    Any other suggestions?!
