No video with Skype

Hi, first post and new to smartphones so please forgive my idiocy. I recently purchased the Motorola Razr Maxx for both my wife and I. My biggest factor in buying a smartphone was so we could video chat allowing me to see my son while I'm at work. I downloaded Skype to both our phones, but when I try to use it I am only given the option to make a phone call or send an SMS, no video call. Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks for the reply MickyMo, I followed the instructions and made sure video calling was enabled. It was, but just to be sure I disabled it and re-enabled it. Still when I go to my contacts, select my wife, the only options it gives me is to make a voice call or send SMS....? I even uninstalled Skype and reinstalled it from the market to be sure I had the most recent software version. Any other ideas?

My xhusband/boyfriend are having the same problem. I just got off the phone with verizon, they are telling me that there is an update for skype that has not yet been released by skype themselves. hopefully skype will get this take care of soon.

I switched from a Atrix 4G that had the ability to Skype with Video to a Atrix 2 that does not. Hopefully a update is right around the corner to fix this issue as I miss being able to Skype with video.
