Tips Non-Removable Battery

    If you haven't discovered yet the battery on the rhyme will not come out. There is no way to remove it. puzzled by this hardware construction i only wonder if batteries being removed is a bad thing and this is HTC's way of showing us. So, to do a soft reset:..........

    hold down the power button for at least 10 seconds. Phone will power off.
    Then turn it back on.

    My wife's phone was stuck and unable to do anything on the screen. To reset the phone I just did the "three finger solute" equivalent.

    Pwr-Volume Down-Home

    Had to do this several times now after some update locked the screen.
    Felt sorry that she couldn't turn off the alarm for a day! (not really);)

    Hope that helps someone else with the problem.

    I really...really i want to thank you for sharing this solution, it really helps me a lot . I was really reaching at my boiling point on how to figure out to resolve my htc rhyme's black screen. :) many many thanks

    It is a plot to force people to buy new phones when the battery wears out.

    I have only had the Rhyme a few days, and I already hate it. But even more than hating the Rhyme, I hate the way that providers limit the functionality of devices.

    omg im soooooooooooooo glad you posted this solution cuz i was having nervous break down and no one from verizon or android could help me unfreeze my phone. Thank you thank you thank you.
