    Well Hi All,

Been putting off getting an IPhone for a long time now, cause I Hate "I" lol, and how Apple are more about profit than customers.

and of course how restricted the device is, so was pleased when I read about the Desire.

So I now have a lovely HTC Desire, and am loving every moment of use, and the apps/games and of course, It not being an I-Sh*t product. lol

Well Looking forward to a long time in here, and maybe I will even have a dab at developing an App, As I am currently a C++/C# developer in an investment Bank (Have done some java before, but only a little)

    Cheers
    Darren.

Hey been thinking of getting a desire but know nothing about android......

My friends have iphones and the sheer lack of interface annoys me but i do like the apps

can anyone re-assure me that the apps on android are as good?

also is the touchscreen on the desire good like the iphone as i have a nokia xpress music and i hate nothing more than a useless screen ( i know the desire will be better than my nokia being capacitive)

    Thanks

I have been showing my desire to all the IPhoney's in my office, and they think it is amazing, the screen is tons better than IPhone,

There are currently not as many apps for the desire, but the main ones/best ones are all there, and as soon as they are authed for Android 2.1 i believe there will be a lot more available.

Howdy all! Not alot to say, I have a Motorola Droid, put Cyanogen on it the first time that 2.1 didn't come.. Then went to the update last night. This is my first smart phone - but "Back in the day" - used many different PDAs.

Love the Android phones, have converted several folks where i work - and moved all the Agency's smart phones to Android.
