Why does the Incredible require drivers to connect to the PC via USB to transfer files, but the Nexus One does not.

    They are very similar phones.

Why can't a generic mass storage device driver work? It seemed to work for the Nexus One.

    Am I missing something here?

All that I had to do was hook it up to the PC and it worked fine. What OS are you using?

Same. The only time I installed a driver was for the android SDK so I could push custom boot animations and root it.

    Thanks for the replies.

I just realized something. I was connecting my Inc to win xp. But I was connecting the Nexus One to a Win Vista machine.

    Thanks again.

    What a noob I am.
