noob question

hey everyone i just bought a g1 second had from someone who had it for a week they said but didnt like it here in montreal quebec canada. its locked to rogers but i was trying to understand updates and so on how to do it and eventually modding my phone but my build number seems really different then everyone elses i am seeing can i get some help understanding if i got the newest updates or what

That's the same baseband I have. The rogers Rom is bound to be different from that of other carries. Rogers hasn't released any updates yet. Whether or not there are newer Roms on other carries, our version is modified by htc and is different in many ways.
