Download the ROM zip file of your choice into your computer then move it to the root (topmost) directory of your sd card.

Power down your Eris, then hold the volume up key while pressing the power key, you'll be in the "recovery" menu where you'll see "flash from zip."

You really do need to read around the root forums a bit to avoid the problems some post about and remedy later on; we're here to help along the way, but you can avoid frustrations by picking up the basics first. ;)

You are most welcome! I've been thinking about creating a thread that would try to sum-up a lot of the same questions we've been getting. Its just a matter of gathering the time and energy to do so...too much stuff to do, eh? :D

Use your trackball to navigate in the recovery menu to the "wipe" selections, there are several, but only run the "factory" and the "dalvik."

Use your volume down key to go back to the main menu, then flash that zip. ;)

I urge you to take your time, wait, do everything with a pause in between steps.. especially following the flash and during the very first boot up.
