first off hi, got my desire a week ago and have been well impressed by the thing. took a few app recommendations from mates, and downloaded amongst others the apps spare parts and juicedefender.

after installing these particular apps the phone slowed down considerably, taking maybe 10-15 seconds to load bookmarks or move from, say, sms to home screen. have uninstalled both apps but the snail pace persists.

    any ideas?

running froyo on 3, no taskiller after reading the article on here.

    thanks in advance.

Have you tried clearing out the caches?
    settings/applications/manage applications.
click on each app & if clear cache is a light then clear it, you may find your internal memory is low.
Also open your browser click menu/more/settings then clear cookies, history etc

This may sound silly, but have you turned it off and on again?
