Root Not being able to reboot

I have an HTC Desire rooted with OpenDesire. Today I just woke up, opened my device and I always got an Android system error message, and nothing would load. I tried rebooting, I took out the battery, I put a different SD card, I restored an older backup and I wiped all the data! Now it's always stuck at the green hTc screen.

Download a new rom & radio & copy to your sd card.
Turn your phone off & then back on while holding down the volume button,
in the root menu wipe & format twice.
Now select the option to install zip from sd card & install the radio zip, then do the same for the rom & reboot the phone.
The phone should boot up after around 5 - 10 minutes, if not drop the battery & restart the phone.
Your phone should work now.
