Help Not getting new email notifications anymore

I have been using Yahoo email on my Motorola Droid for months now without any issues up until yesterday. All of the sudden I have stopped getting new email notifications when I know emails have come into my yahoo account. When I open the email app it goes right to my inbox as it should and I see the new emails which have come in since I last opened the app and when the inbox finishes refreshing a message appears in a banner at the top of the screen that says "Connection error". This just started yesterday and i have tried restarting the phone to see if that helps but still the same. Has anyone else had similar issues and if so what is the fix?

Start searching google to see if other android users are also experiencing the same thing.

If so, yahoo may have changed something.
