Help Not Registered on Network - O2 UK

Hello

Have s4 i9505 in UK on O2 and have encountered this common issue. When I go and manually select the network it does connect but this does not last long and I again get the No Service and Emergency Calls Only message.

Having checked my IMEI on screen it is different to that under the battery and on the box, which is: ***mod redacted***. On screen it comes up as: ***mod redacted***.

Do I need to change this?

Is there anything else I can do please?

Should have realised: the difference is under the battery and on the box it is: ******/*/******/*. On screen it comes up as: **************/01. The digits are the same save for the on screen having the /01 at the end

Having tried numerous things the only thing that has worked is to select GSM only in the Network Modes, can anyone help please?

Just from what I have read but it seems it may be my modem, I really do not know but I really do need to sort it if anyone can please help?

It is my mobile signal & data connection that I lost, so not sure what the router has to do with it.

Go to Settings > About device > Status > Signal strength (what -dBm and asu is it showing?)

I've given up and I'm going to reflash the ROM or might try another if anyone can recommend one?

That is a reasonable signal. Check your O2 APN settings.

Thanks but this did not work, I do not have any service (calls, texts &/or mobile internet) unless I choose GSM only.

The phone works in GSM mode but the internet is slow as anything and I really need it working for tomorrow if possible.
