I like BarControl well enough except for two things:

    1. Each app takes up one whole notification bar.
    2. If you hide the notifications, there is still a bar that 'covers' them and youcan tell easily it is there. It looks ugly.

Anyhow, I would rather just use this area for a quick launcher to Gemini quick-entry, the Clock app, and Calendar Snooze as these apps I like to get to quickly. I would rather not have a whole process running all the time. What are my best options?

ok, this is sort of cool, using Quick Launch free version, it seems ok, I am keeping BarControl with just the Gemini shortcut, showing the icon because one isn't too bad, and then using the 4 free slots in Quick Launch mapped to the long-press search button for the camera, clock, Calendar Snooze, and Quick Settings. This seems pretty efficient to me. What do you think?
