Hey y'all...I was running Ultimate Droid V8 with ROM Manager. Downloaded CyanogenModand tried to flash it. Recovery program tried to install, but it aborted with Error 7. So, I connected to my PC, deleted the CyanogenMod zip file, and downloaded another copy of it to my SD card. No errors this time, but it's just still not loading. In fact, the phone is booting as Ultimate 8 again. I've tried everything I can think of but I need some advice.

    thanks.....

Yup. I've installed a couple of ROMs through ROM Manager, without any problem. I backed up with Titanium and did a cache and data wipe, but it just doesn't seem to take. I am thinking of trying a lower version of ROM.

When you searched for and downloaded ROM Manager, did you download BOTH the Premium and Free apps listed. I read that you needed to have both installed...check to make sure they are both up to date as well.

Yep, both installed. I flashed back to Ultimate 8, it was working fine enough.

According to Koush, go back into ROM Manager and flash the latest SPRecovery (he just updated it). That should solve the recovery and backup errors (I haven't tried it myself yet).
