O2 UK confirms Samsung Galaxy for July Release

What I think is happening, not only at O2/UK but at several telcos, is that they are gauging the amount of hype and are awaiting sufficient stockpiles to meet demand before even starting to sell the phone.

I mean, if Samsung would ship them in small batches as they make them, it would seem like a trickle of users, even if the phones have a zero-day shelf life. :(
On the other hand, if they wait until they have a trillion of them in stock, and then ship to every telco store on the planet, then the released pressure of users pining for them will make a big splash. :D
