I owned the 1st gen iphone, and the iphone 3gs. When I first got the iphone, i knew it was revolutionary, but i never obsessed about it, I even waited after a month since it launched before getting it. The honeymoon period ended probably within 1-2 weeks, although i was still perfectly satisfied by it. Then 2 years later, I grew sick and tired of the slowness of the iphone edge network, and various other tasks, so i preordered the iphone 3gs. I was happy with the 3gs, but HSDPA never came, and not only that, they couldn't even get regular 3g/voice stable. For the EVO, i was lusting for it 3 months before it came out, searching for "evo 4g" everyday on google and youtube. Now after 1 month of owning evo, i still occasionally search for evo 4g information. The honeymoon period still have not ended yet, and I'm still mesmerized by the device. I guess I loved the small border/bezel with large screen before the phone was even ever designed, it was something i wanted ever since I got the first gen iphone. I even submitted my feedback to apple for a higher resolution, and larger screen 3 years ago. Knowing apple will never design based on my feedback, the EVO came to the rescue and was a dream come true. I wanted a large screen so badly that I almost even got the HTC HD2, but I waited for the android version instead. I was going to wait for the windows phone 7 version, but I soon realized windows phone 7 is heading the wrong direction (not open), and thus I know the future is android.
