Gotcha. I actually blazed over that post when first scrolling through, so thanks for bringing that to my attention!

This is what I'm hoping for. I wonder how their warehouses are distributed. Could affect how long it takes for each warehouse to turn around units to the stores.

I think I would have loved having an sd card... I'm slowly creeping up on 20Gb of music... leaves me with 8-10Gb of extra space on the Gnex.

I may have to offload some of my less-frequently listened to music to the cloud, along with putting my 10Gb of dropbox space to use.

Just wondering...does anyone know a firm answer why Verizon passed on the Galaxy SII?? I'm really not buying that it is because they were going to be the exclusive carrier of the Nexus anymore. As late in the year as this launch date has slipped (whether planned or by delays), they are not going to be exclusive for long if at all. I know some articles I read said it was because of their Droid Charge...psshh poppycock! The SII would have FAR outpaced the Charge in terms of sales...why not pass on the Charge and carry the SII?

Verizon Wireless is constantly improving the services, features, and wireless phones we offer to our customers for their communication needs.

We appreciate your business and thank you for using Verizon Wireless."

You mean like the the Bionic met the high standards their customers have come to expect? LOL

My guess is that they couldn't get the fat LTE chip into that slim bod

google music is also an option. just got my invite last night. it stores nothing on your phone unless you want to for offline listening pleasure. i will say that i've got ~4000 songs in my library now. started to upload last night, at 8am only got through 400 songs. wondering what it's at when i get home. i definitely plan to take advantage of that.

its actually pretty neat and a few clicks on my mac was all i needed to get started. if you're a big audiophile, my only concern would be sound quality if you were in a lower bandwidth area...

You obviously have never ordered an iPhone on launch before. When preordered from Apple, they would actually ship the phones straight from China with Air Freight. You get your tracking number when it ships and it would actually only take 2 or 3 days from when it was shipped. Customs holds it up a little bit. Some would actually come early but a hold was placed on them by Fed Ex so that everyone would get them on launch day and not a day earlier. Some always slip through the cracks though and people get them early.

Shipping aside, since we don't really know when they were actually shipped to the warehouses, I feel we will be getting an announcement tomorrow and they will be available this friday. Just a gut feeling. I was worried about the FCC thing for a while, but looks like thats cleared up now.

Riiiigghtt. I'll PM everyone the address later. Just don't be alarmed that it's an abandoned warehouse on Chicago's south side. We like to live rough. :p

Regardless of how long it takes for an order to be shipped out from Korea, or where it ends up once it gets here, that last text from my sister said:

Seems like the orders were shipped from Korea a while ago and are about to arrive. I don't know how she gets the info, but I know it's not first-hand, so the obligatory grain of salt is needed.

I suppose they could have tracking info online that tells them when the boat comes in or whatever. I have no idea. But the feeling seems to be that Verizon's warehouses will be stocked really soon.

To add to my previous statement, also I think it would be nuts for Verizon to sit on a large amount of devices because I'm sure that in some way they have to pay for storage.

And you can say, well 120,000 some-odd devices isn't that much to store. Phil Nickinson posted over in a thread on Android Central saying that this number isn't a "nationwide" number.

Just throwing that out there too. Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic since I just sold my Vibrant and am now using a G1/HTC Dream to get by until this thing is out.

On a closing note, I also feel that there is a lot of very wild speculation out there that sometimes gets interpreted by the masses as fact, and I know it is an exciting time and emotions/tensions are running high for us gadget freaks, but I would hope that people would really sit and think for a minute as to what makes sense/is logical vs what is completely illogical and make no sense at all.

Seems like I remember back in the day, when the new iPhone would come out there would be leaked pictures of cargo ships with crate loads of Apple products on them as an indicator even before the press conference to announce the phone's availabilty. My memory is cloudy on this subject, but that seems to be the most accurate I can remember. That means the hardware was made, shipped to the US, placed in Apple warehouses, announcement was made either concurrently or before the devices shipped from those warehouses here stateside. The phones are more than likely here stateside already. It would be almost impossible to manufacture, ship, and release within a month. These things were more than likely manufactured weeks ago and shipped over then....IF the phone launches by the end of the month that is.

I hope the "Date TBA" is decided by someone other than VZW ;) . On a side note, Ice cream sandwiches to be served for dessert?

RAZR is wafer thin and has the LTE chip plus an SD card.

I was sooooo bummed that SGS2 didn't go to VZW!

BTW when I was buying my RAZR (edit: last Friday), the store clerks were talking about the Samsung rep that had spent the day there prepping them on the Gnex.

i think its already been suggested earlier in the thread, but i seriously doubt that Samsung is just now shipping the phones out from Korea. Its much more likely that they send their shipments to local subsidiaries in the USA then ship to carriers from there

    Just now :) Congratulations!

Yes, they said "next Thursday", meaning 11/17.

But as we all know, the store reps are often the last to know anything.
