I would think deleting any file in the /system/app should do the trick
I would rename it and move it to another place, like my SD Card, just to be safe

please let me know what you get if you do!
I checked and there is no update for me. I'm on leaked gb.
It didn't work it must require other files, or some sort of activation.
Just went to Settings>About Phone>System Upates and got an alert that a Motorola account required, would I like to setup an account.
Strange
Well I sbf'ed back to stock, took the large zip file and renamed it to update.zip, put it on the sdcard, and booted into recovery mode. I chose the upgrade from sdcard/update.zip and just booted the phone no problem.
System Version 4.5.588.MB810
Android Version 2.3.3
Baseband Version BP_C_01.09.12P
Build Number 4.5.1_57_DX5-18
Kernel Version 2.6.32.9
WHAT?! I didnt/dont think its supposed to work that way... are you infact on gingerbread now?
According to a recent Tweet, the new version will not install unless you are on complete stock 2.3.340. If you have installed any ROM or have updated to GB, it won't install.
What bootloader version are you on now?
Not entirely sure how to see that.
Having an issue atm getting back into the recovery menu to do a phone wipe. Phone boots fine though/gets and receives calls...

New way to get into recovery on gb. Home+power then both volume buttons. Try that.
That did it, thanks.
Edit: and the power button in the new "Ok" button as the camera was before.
