With all this talk of potential release dates, we'll still have to see an FCC filing right? I believe that it was discussed before that while passing through the FCC would allow a phone to be released immediately, it would probably be at least a few weeks until official release?

Who here keeps track of the latest FCC files?

ADR6200VW is the model number of the Eris. So, this is not referring to the phone we now know as the Desire.

If Verizon doesn't get the Incredible soon I can see a lot of people jumping ship to ATT. I know VZW has killer service and that is extremely important to me, but come on give us a break already. The exact phone we have been waiting for and where is it going....... CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!!!

Yep. I agree with that. Plus, that FCC filing had a 1300 mAh battery which is what the Legend has.

If all of this is true and the Desire is going to AT&T and the Legend is going to Sprint then...geez...I'm starting to honestly think that the Incredible must be an amazing phone and it has some features that we're not currently aware of or that haven't exactly been confirmed yet. I'm thinking the Incredible has got to have HD video recording enabled to at least come close to living up to it's name.

I always figured that the theory of the Desire being a provider's Nexus One as impossible. In AT&T's case, how does google benefit from this? BoyGenius is reporting that the phone will come with Sense UI - again, I don't see Google liking this.

You sound like me Nashdroid. I am using a three year old 6800 and Sync Center to sync all my work calendar/contacts with my phone, and Google Sync to sync my calendar events with my Google Calendar, then GS to sync my Google Calendar with my outlook at home. I can't wait to get an Android phone to eliminate some of these steps, and the Incredible looks like the one I want. The only other phone choice would be the Supersonic, and that is too far out for me to wait as my 6800 is running on fumes. At the rate that these phones are coming out, I may go with a 1 year contract this time around because something may just come out in a year or less that I "just can't live without"... :p

Google said at their press conference they were going to have more then just the Nexus One in their store. While there will be a Nexus Two, this could be the first non "Google Phone" they are going to sell.

The whole idea was accessibility for users. It's will be no different then if you went to verizon, best buy, or amazon's site and ordered a phone with service. In fact it is just like amazon because you can get unlocked phones and phones with a contract. They will just offer android phones.

I think we can now assume that the HTC model that passed through FCC PB31200 is the Hero 2 / aka Legend coming to Sprint and not the Incredible. Boygeniusreport is stating that Sprint is getting it. Since this battery is the same as the Legend I'm drawing the conclusion that PB31200 is the Hero2 for Sprint.

More bad news for Verizon owners.... This article also mentions the Desire is coming stateside to....you guessed it AT&T.

it's such a relief to know I'm not the only guy out here with an old WinMo phone going crazy waiting for the newest and greatest android phone.. i need such a support group. lol.
can't tell you how many times i've signed onto verizonwireless.com and added the eris to "my cart" and then stopped myself at the last moment.

Couldn't resist tooting my own horn. Not that I'm happy to be correct...nor do I think I'm some sort of genius...but it seems pretty obvious at this point that AT&T is moving to Android to head off the disaster of loosing the iPhone exclusive. Of course, this could be spun another way...they could just be looking to diversify?

So the big question is now...will Verizon sit back and let AT&T and TMobile sell the sweetest Android phones? Will Sprint get the Supersonic anytime soon. And of course, when will Verizon get the Incredible. Lots of talk...hope we learn soon. I truly hope the specs...as many have speculated (pardon the pun) are as nice or nicer on the Incredible as they are on the Desire. If not...lots of us are going to be acting like pissed off toddlers!

I agree with you. The Incredible will be equally as impressive (spec wise) if not greater than the Desire. I dont see ANY reason why HTC would choose to produce a phone, the Desire, for GSM based carriers and then release a phone at the same time with inferior specs for a large provider like VZW; especially when competing against the N1 at the same time.

I think that the Incredible is definitely going to be a Verizon exclusive. Unlike the Desire and the Legend which will be available on many networks around the world, the Incredible will only be available to us Verizon customers. That's what I think. It's a special project that HTC is creating specifically for Verizon, in my opinion. So, let's just hope that it's AT LEAST as nice as the Desire, if not better. I'm thinking it will be better though.

Soooo I have a question for anyone who can answer it. Please no shooting after its asked.

I'm jonsing for the Incredible but my question is: If you download an app, and lets say its one you paid for, does it automatically transfer over if you have to get a new phone because the phone you have breaks? I don't have a smartphone and this is why I ask. Cause I know with ring tones you have a 90 day period they will reimburse you then your SOL. Is that the case with apps?

    Thx.

I just got rejected from my top choice law school today and now open the internet to see the desire is going to AT&T.

    What a shitty day

I'll agree with you that the Incredible will most likely be a Verizon exclusive. Not sure but isn't that how all of HTC's CDMA devices have been thus far? Just for fun I will challenge you though on the likelihood of it being better than the Desire. Verizon hasn't really been known for being on the cutting edge of phones (yeah, I'm still rocking a Venus). :) I'm hoping this is the time though!

You guys may be barking up the wrong tree. PB31200 is still an unknown CDMA device (Verizon or Sprint). PB76100 is the new FCC filing that is the Legend. However this filing is a GSM device. So it's more likely going to AT&T or T-Mobile.

So, I'm still holding out that the PB31200 is a Verizon phone. Please let it be the Incredible!!!

If you scroll up to my last post I saw an article today saying the Legend passed through the FCC on AT&T's 3G.

I'm hoping the PB31200 is the Incredible for Verizon meaning it may be in our hands sooner than later.

I know how you feel. I have a voyager and it gets worse and worse everyday. My upgrades due march 9th, I am very tempted. But I know that there are some people on this forum that have been waiting since Nov of last year. They are all very informative. If they are holding off for this long, I can. Being I only joined this forum last month and all.
I'd be pretty fine with a March or April release. Hell its better than July

An attitude like that will get you a long way on here. I remember thinking "I can wait for a Christmas release, at least its better than March" :)

Well crap! AT&T is getting the desire AND sprint gets the supersonic AND Legend. That really gets me! Here I thought desire and legend was only an overseas phone. Incredible had better be better and be on Verizon. If not, I might just have to move to at&t as much as I dont want to. Is verizon dumb enough to just rely on the droid and let at&t and sprint get all the good phones? I hope not.

Bravo for everyone that has been waiting! You are brave souls lol just noticed the irony of that word...bravo lol
