    i don't remember the droid incredible having this many issues. (mine had none)

    I do remember the storm SUCKED. that phone is why I own a bionic right onw. when I broke my incredible, I went back to using the storm while I waited for the HTC Vigor...and I just couldn't stand it any longer.

    i feel like the primary difference between a smartphone and a regular phone is 3G connectivity. without 3G you have a dumb phone that sometimes acts smart as long as you are near wi fi. that being said....I would imagine a working 3G antenna would be among the things a prominent smarthphone maker should have gotten right BEFORE launch date... This isn't new technology.

    I'm sick of restarting my phone to get 3G back =[

    I completely agree with this. The fact that they are taking a month to address such a blatant issue is crazy.

    Fixes takes as long as they take. I see nothing wrong with a Nov release of the first update. Personally, I want them to thoroughly test the update, instead of getting a bad update like TB owners got recently. (at least I believe it was the TB that had it's update pulled)

    Months for major problems like loss of data is too long also. You don't take your car in and say all the gauges are dead and the a/c doesn't work, but take your time, a month or longer is ok.

    anybody else have a file stored that is dated 1969 and sometimes 49 in the onboard storage file? I called about it and they said not to worry so I'm curious if anyone has info on it?

    I see something wrong with the first update being a month away when you buy a smartphone in order to use 3G/4G data connectivity and pay $30 a month for that connectivity, and that connectivity has issues making it so you can't use it most of the time.

    Fixing a car and fixing the software on a phone are completely different. To change the breaks or gauges in a car I order the new part and replace them. To fix the software on a phone new code has to be written, tested for problems, tweaked and then re-tested until it works and doesn't mess anything up. I would rather them take a month or so to get it right then have them release 5 updates in that time that do more harm than good.
    It's just like when Windows or Mac release an update for their computer OS's, they take time to get right.

    From what I found the charger has to be at least 850ma anything less and it takes a long long time to charge.

    Oh really, that's what all the writing on the side of the charger is.
    I was stating that because a lot of older micro usb chargers are only 500ma chargers and not all micro usb chargers are equall.
    The reason that they say to only use motorola or verizon branded chargers is so people that do not know any better don't just buy what every charger fits. You can use what ever charger you want as long as you make sure it is at least 850ma.

    yup. it takes a magnifier for me to read the fine print, including the amperage rating. :)

    Had I known before I decided to go from an Iphone which I never had a problem with to a 4g Droid I would have never done it. The Bionic is a POS. One would think that Verizon and Motorola would have addressed the issues with this phone before they hit the market. My phone looses internet and has to be shut down. Well I say trying to shut down but the phone freezes and the battery has to be pulled. Apps just vanish from the home pages and if they are there they say not loaded so you have to re-download them from the market and then the come back to the home screen. Looses internet connections while watching Netflix. Come on Verizon early November for a fix. Guess everyone should just return the phones and go with something more reliable

    This phone was a piece of crap! I've owned mine for less then two weeks, and returning it today. I CONSTANTLY lose data connection on the phone. Turning Airplane mode on/off, and removing the battery does nothing to solve the problem. Working in IT and needing, sadly...24/7 data access for alarms in our data center and support users, this was a BIG issue.
    How can someone say this is a minor issue? My question, is this issue more a AZ issue, or nationwide? Most people I've seen with this issue occuring are in Arizona, as I am too.

    It seems to me that some users may have received lemons and should go back to where they got them and get them exchanged.

    As for the performance issue ... I suggest they checkout my Network suggestion (assuming they stay with the Bionic).

    As for me ... I waited three months for the Bionic to be released ... glad I did ... glad I got the first one sold in Keene ... really enjoy the improvbements over the DroidX and the DroidX is IMNHO one hell of a nice piece of equipment. I'm looking forward to 4G coming to town.

    This is a free marktplace ... if yu are uynhappy with what's in the Bionic ... maybe get your money back ...

    Im gotten the Black screen of death 4 times in the last 3 days....This Thing is going on ebay or to CEX once the Prime drops.

    Odd Droid Bionic Behaviour When Charging
    Question: I've noticed odd behavor on device when it is plugged in for charging (USB and wall-power). I only use Verizon-sold chargers. Specifically, the "password" grid behaves badly and I need to unplug in order to get it to work again. Touch screen function also behaves oddly.

    Anyone else noticed this??



    Same here. Really messes with the Swype keyboard.

    Easier said then done.
    My Webtop adaptor does not work. I just got an Inductive charger and it does not work. I went to the store and they said I was past the (2) weeks and they would only replace it with a refurb phone. I don't know if that makes sense doing.

    I have found that every one of those retail stores has one person who knows the stuff inside-out. Everyone else in the store turns to him/her when they are contronted with an issue. Have you found him/her? That is about all I could recommend tio you.

    Is it OK to use this thread to discuss the issues listed, or would you prefer to keep this to posting about known issues?

    The reason I ask is that I've experienced something with mine that I would like to put forward and see if it's related to a particular thing I saw mentioned in the OP....regarding how apps interact with the user and with the removable SD Card.
